Since opening Honey Butter, we have been committed to sustainability, supporting local farmers and producers, and reducing our environmental impact on our planet. Here are some ways we try to achieve this:

  • We source quality ingredients from local farms across the Midwest whenever possible.

  • We use only antibiotic-free, cage-free and humanely-raised chicken, as well as non-GMO, trans fat-free Canola oil for frying. 

  • We recycle our fryer oil through a closed loop oil system. Nearly 100% of used oil is collected and recycled to be used for bio-diesel fuel. 

  • We consciously try to minimize food waste in our restaurant by thoughtful ordering and smart inventory management. We utilize ingredients in multiple ways and creatively use scraps and bits which would normally be thrown out. 

  • For food waste that is generated and cannot be reused, we compost to minimize our environmental footprint. We recycle aluminum, glass, plastic and cardboard to limit waste. 

  • We utilize compostable, biodegradable and recyclable packaging.
